In a nutshell, Antheia Floral Boutique is about luxurious, modern arrangements made with florals that are ethically sourced.
What inspired you to start your business?
I’ve worked all around the world and seen different styles, techniques and approaches to floral design. I wanted to be able to create arrangements based on the things that I’ve learned from the talented designers that I’ve worked with. Antheia Floral is a combination of the loose, garden style of London and the polished, sophisticated style of New York.
What’s your favorite part about working in the wedding industry?
I love love. I love bringing cohesion to an event and having a couple walk in to their event space in awe – it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!
Share a piece of advice with our brides:
I totally respect the decision to do your own wedding florals, but I would absolutely advise against it. I am a wedding florist and doing my own flowers for my wedding was a complete nightmare – I can’t imagine how horrible it would be if I had no experience! I was up until 4am and had bags under my eyes the next day, I do not recommend it but if that’s something that you really want to do then I admire that dedication.
Do you have any new and exciting news to share?
Antheia Floral no longer operates a shopfront because we wanted to be able to focus all our energy on our wedding and event clients. You can still order arrangements online, but now in the space that was formerly our boutique is a beautiful new gift shop and tea bar called Greater Goods! There’s still a flower stand there as well, if you need some Antheia to go.
What’s a wedding trend that you’re totally in love with right now?
Greenery. Greenery, greenery, greenery. I love the look of loose garlands in bohemian weddings, industrial weddings, garden-themed weddings – it’s just always appropriate and such a cost effective addition to any event.
